It’s easy to think that Jelly Roll has only been on the music scene for just over a decade. But he’s actually been performing concerts for quite some time. In fact, his first public performance appearance was in 1994 when he participated in the Big Spring Jam 1994 at Big Spring Park in Huntsville, Alabama.

But after that performance, he hasn’t been seen often at major concerts and live appearances until 2013. During that year, he played two concerts at the DIamond Pub & Billiards in Louisville, Kentucky on November 1, 2013 and alongside TWiztid at Auburn, Georgia’s The Masquerade on August 22, 2013.

Since then, Jelly Roll averages one dozen to three dozen concerts a year. Many of these shows took place at the hottest venues in North America as well as some of the most popular music festivals and events around.

But fans wanted and needed more. But little could they guess that Jelly Roll had a big year coming. Because following the event closures of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was gearing up for his busiest years yet.

In 2021, he played 32 live concert events and then nearly doubled that bar with 63 concerts played or scheduled for 2022 at the time of writing. And this busy year includes legendary shows like his appearance at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on June 11, 2022. This year also saw Jelly Roll perform on Day 3 of Inkcarceration 2022 at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio, at Rocklahoma 2022, in Pryor, Oklahoma, and at the Monster Energy Aftershock 2022 held at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California on October 6.
